On Thursday, Sept. 26, The Charles E. Via, Jr. Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering will be conducting a series of shock tube experiments in the proximity of the Thomas M. Murray Structural Engineering Laboratory on Inventive Lane.
Approximately six tests will be conducted between the hours of 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
The campus community may hear a series of sudden, loud booms emanating from the Inventive Lane area. The onset of these noises is the product of testing and is not a cause for concern. The Charles E. Via, Jr. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering will make every effort to minimize the disturbance to the campus community and conduct the tests as swiftly and safely as possible.
