The Radford University men’s basketball program lost its leading scorer last month when Carlik Jones transferred to Louisville, and now it has lost one of the 2019-2020 team’s players off the bench. Cle’von Greene has announced plans to transfer to Division II Virginia State.
Junior Leroy Butts IV had previously announced he was entering the transfer portal but has not yet announced where he is transferring to. He averaged 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds a game and teamed with Greene to give the Highlanders two of the top bench players in the Big South Conference.
Radford University did gain one back when 6-4 guard Dante Moses of Daytona State College (Fla.) said he was joining the Highlanders. Moses averaged 13.7 points and five rebounds per game, earning all-conference this past season.
Moses picked Radford over UNC-Asheville, Morehead State and Illinois-Chicago. He was initially offered a scholarship by Radford coach Mike Jones last year after attending Palm Beach State Junior College.
