Every year, volunteers of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Montgomery County and Radford participate in the National Salute to Veteran Patients by crafting valentines for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Virginia Veterans Care Center in Salem. This year, 937 cards were made by volunteers, members of the Chi Delta Alpha Service Sorority at Virginia Tech and members of the Senior Bible Study class of Asbury United Methodist Church. Many thanks to RSVP Volunteer Dottie Williams and Meadowbrook Public Library for donations of craft items to be used for this program.
