At the State Veterans of Foreign Wars meeting in Williamsburg, Daniel McManus placed second in the state Voice of Democracy Contest. Pictured is McManus (left) and Gary Harris of the Radford VFW Post 776. McManus, son of Mike and Margaret McManus, is a senior at Radford High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Club, Students vs. Cancer and Youth Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention project. After graduation, he plans to attend Bible college.
