Richard Jude Repass, age 94, of Blacksburg died, Sunday, August 5, 2018, at his home. He was born in Burkes Garden, VA on September 13, 1923 to the late Frank Elmer and Stella Mae Hall Repass. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Goodman Repass; his brother, Joe Frank Repass; an infant brother, Marvin Repass; sisters, Brenda Gupta, Virginia Dillow, and Ann Frock.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a man of many talents, and had many jobs during his lifetime. The one he loved most was dealing with cattle which he continued to do into his 80’s. Jude enjoyed golf, fishing, gardening, feeding the birds, and always trying to outwit the squirrels.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine; sisters, Louise Wagner, Peggy Greene, Betty Jean Felty; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Judy Repass; many nieces and nephews; his faithful friend and golfing buddy, Lloyd Hall.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 10, 2018. in the Burkes Garden Central Lutheran Church with Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment followed in the Burkes Garden Cemetery, Burkes Garden, VA.
The family received friends Friday prior to the service in the church.
