Sharon Kimbleton, a special education teacher in Radford City Schools for 41 years, was honored for being named the Radford Chamber of Commerce’s Educator of the Year for 2016 during last Tuesday’s school board meeting. “She has the heart and the art of teaching,” said Superintendent Robert Graham. Kimbleton, who has been a special education teacher for 41 years, was described as intuitive, organized, compassionate and the “calmest person in the room” by RCS Executive Director of Student Services David Sable.Superintendent Robert Graham thanks “super Bobcat” volunteer David “Dink” Morris for his volunteer efforts, including recently installing LED lighting in the high school gymnasium free of charge at the March 7 school board meeting. “Dink is a super volunteer,” said Graham. “He’s a super Bobcat. And the best part about him is how much he cares for our students.”
