RADFORD – A Radford Scout working on his Eagle Scout project has given a local playground a facelift and repair.
“Central Church Radford playground is a special place especially during the summertime with the big, beautiful tree that provides so much shade on these hot days,” Central Church recently announced. “During the spring, our playground received some much-needed attention thanks to Lee Simms who was working on his Eagle Scout project and Boy Scout Troop 244 of Central Church. Lee Simms’ Eagle project was to repair the playground at Central. This included adding a border around the base of the fence, repairing the wooden structures and staining all the wooden structures.”
Troop 244 of Central church provided the labor for this project, while Lee developed the plans and managed the completion of the project.
“Congratulations to Lee on becoming an Eagle Scout and thank you,” the church announced.
