Members of the Radford Economic Development Authority celebrate First NRV Credit Union’s $10,000 POP! sponsorship donation recently with First NRV Credit Union representative Owen McKinney (right). The credit union got the ball rolling on the public-private partnership with the EDA and First NRV Credit Union each contributing $10,000 to get the program started. POP- which stands for Paint,Optimize,Plant- is a matching grant program, the purpose of which is to encourage local business and commercial property owners to put money into new awnings, painting and other enhancements by offering to match the dollars spent.
