Some of the hundreds of participants in the 2023 Polar Plunge head into the New River during the morning event, held Saturday at Dudley’s Landing. Radford’s Polar Plunge was truly polar this year, with frosty temperatures awaiting folks who took the leap into the New River on Saturday. The effort, organized with the help of the Radford City Police Department, had its most successful fundraising ever, with more than 300 people taking the plunge and more than $72,000 raised for Special Olympics.
