RADFORD – The Radford Photo Club will be showing their works at the Radford Public Library from July 25 – August 22 in the Radford Public Library Community Room.
A reception will be hosted on Thursday, July 25 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Members of the Radford Photo Club will be present during the reception to answer questions and talk informally about their work. Light refreshments will be provided by the Lamplighters, the Library’s fund-raising volunteers.
Please stop in and meet the Radford Photo Club photographers who are local to the New River Valley community. Approximately fifteen members will each have one photography piece on display and many will be available for purchase.
Learn about the Radford Photography Club and glean some photography tips while you admire their works. According to Radford Photo Club member Linda Waggaman,
“The Radford Photo Club is more than 15 years old. We have a diverse group of members from various locations outside of Radford including Christiansburg and Blacksburg. Some members are thinking about buying their first camera while others are career photographers. We welcome everyone to join our group.
Meetings open with sharing local photography contests, exhibits and locations that might be interesting to photograph that month. We then share our photos. There is a theme for the photos each month, but you can also bring one photo you took recently to share, regardless of theme. We also plan regular photographic outings to venues like Hahn Garden, Glen Alton and the Wildwood.
The Radford Photo Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Radford Public Library.”
