RINER- A Radford man was killed in a one-vehicle wreck on Monday morning.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office “ at around 8:15 a.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 5700 block of Riner Road (Rt. 8) for a single-vehicle crash with entrapment.”
“Upon arrival, deputies, along with the Riner rescue and fire departments, located a Chevrolet truck that had run off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree,”according to a statement from the sheriff’s department. “The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. The passenger, 45-year-old Jason Paul of Radford, was extricated from the vehicle, was transported to the New River Valley Medical Center and was pronounced dead at the hospital.”
The crash remains under investigation with charges pending.
