Members of the Radford Fire/ EMS department demonstrate a Lucas Device at Monday’s Radford City Council meeting. The department currently has one of these devices, which performs automated chest compressions on patients. City Council allowed the allocation of $15,000 to purchase a second Lucas Device and a Stair chair,which helps move patients down staircases in emergency medical situation. The funds come from Four-For-Life funds are restricted for EMS equipment.
