
RADFORD – Radford City Council recently recognized 28 Radford businesses that were awarded “Best of Virginia” status by Virginia Living Magazine.
Each year, Virginia Living Magazine asks readers to vote on their favorite businesses in a variety of categories, from restaurants to shops, doctors to attorneys, hair stylists to construction companies, and more. This year, Radford had 17 number one winners and 11 notable mention winners.

“Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Radford that these 28 businesses are hereby recognized for their exceptional business products, services, and dedication to the City of Radford as they celebrate this monumental achievement,” the resolution reads.
The number one winners include Tuck Chiropractic, New River Valley Pediatrics, New River Dermatology, Thompson & Litton, Patrick Moore, PC, Mullins Funeral Home, Virginia Furniture Market, Macado’s, Sal’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, Radford Coffee Company, Thai This Express, Pete Dye River Course, New River Valley Community Services, The Hair Loft, Sams Brothers, Inc., Carter Bank and Trust, and Carilion.
The notable mention businesses include Brickhouse Pizza, Long Way Brewing, Sinkland Farms, Central United Methodist Church, Blacksburg Boxing and Fitness, Carilion New River Valley, Garrett’s, Gates Florist and Gifts, PR Sturgill Jewelry, Truist, and Member One.
