RADFORD – The Radford Chamber of Commerce held its annual gala Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Highlander Hotel, presenting awards for business person, non-profit, small business and business of the year.
Non-Profit of the Year is Radford Public Library, Radford Coffee Company is Small Business of the Year, Business of the Year is Radford Family Dental and the Business Person of the Year is Ben Bondurant.
Radford Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dan McKinney said it was a wonderful night of celebration.
“It was a phenomenal night to celebrate our business community,” said McKinney. “With almost 140 people in attendance, they were able to enjoy the rooftop bar and outside area.”
Abram Williams, President of the Radford Chamber of Commerce welcomed everyone to the event. McKinney, gave an introduction speech to the attendees and then introduced the keynote speaker to the podium, Radford University President Dr. Bret Danilowicz.
“He spoke of the many great things happening at Radford University with more to come,” said McKinney.
McKinney then presented the awards to the winners in each category.
In addition to the winners, several others were nominated. Additional nominees for Business of the Year included CMG Leasing, Sinkland Farms, Sign Systems and Regal Rexnord. For Small Business of the Year, additional nominees included Arabica Café and Bakery, Coco-Nuts, Golden Triangle Development, LLC, Hodge Podge Cookies, and Twin Coves Media. Additional nominees for Non-Profit of the Year included Bobcat Backpacks Program, Elf Shelf and the Women’s Resource Center of the NRV. For Business Person of the Year, additional nominees included Paul Pallante and Paul Demaio.
