Proposals being accepted for Community Development Block Grant Program

The City of Radford Department of Community Development is accepting proposals for the 2024 program year (July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025) for funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.  

Applicants must be a not-for profit organization as established by the IRS.   Proposals for Public Services programs are due no later than March 15, 2024, by 4 p.m.  The major focus of the City of Radford’s CDBG program is to provide a suitable living environment, decent housing, social services, and economic opportunities in low-income areas, and low-to-moderate- income persons.   

Applications may be accessed at www.radfordva.gov or via email request to Melissa.Skelton@radfordva.gov.  The applications can also be picked up at Radford Administration Building, 10 Robertson St., Radford, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. For more information regarding the CDBG program, please visit https://www.radfordva.gov/1261/HUD-Community-Development-Block-Grant.
