Kirby Harding Phillips, 97, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020, at his home in Radford.
He was a member of Morgan’s Chapel UMC and was a self-employed painter. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.
Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, Orbie and Lizzie Phillips; his wife, Edna M. Phillips; a daughter, Judy Ann Phillips; a son, Chipper Phillips; a grandson, Justin Smith; and a special son, Robert Boyd.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Gary H. and Deborah Phillips, and Dean and Sonja Phillips; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tom Jones; a daughter-in-law, Patty Phillips; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Bonnie Mae Locks Crum; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services with full military rites will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Page’s Meeting House, 4382 Hickman Cemetery Rd. in Fairlawn, with the Rev. Darlene Marshall officiating.
