Vertis Opal Ford Olayvar, 84, of Dublin, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Belspring. Born on September 5, 1934, she was a member of Max Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Josephine Ford; her husbands, Daniel Olayvar Clarence Geist; brother, Jack Ford; and sisters, Dorothy Dicensco and Ann Staver.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Sarver and Wayne of Belspring, and Judy Victoria Olayvar-Long and Mike of Colonial Beach; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Orlando Olayvar and Dawn of Allisonia; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; special friend, Pat Mann; and many other relatives and friends.

The family received friends from 9 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Max Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services began at 11 a.m. with Pastors Mike Coleman and Dallas Vines officiating. Interment followed in Thornspring United Methodist Church cemetery.
