NRV CARES raised $27,500 during its 17th Annual Gala and Auction, held Saturday, March 4 at The Inn at Virginia Tech. More than 170 guests attended the event, which included both live and silent auctions as well as dinner and dancing.

The largest annual fundraiser for NRV CARES, the event highlighted the agency’s efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect in the community. Proceeds from the event go directly into funding NRV CARES’ programs: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the New River Valley, Parent Education, and Community Education.
