Pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia 1950, as amended, the Radford City Council hereby gives notice of a joint public hearing with Planning Commission to be held on February 10, 2025 at 7:00 P.M., in the City Council Chambers, at 10 Robertson Street, Radford, VA, in order to hear citizen comments regarding City Council’s intention to act on the following Special Use Permit request:
A request by Katrina Compton (applicant) on behalf of Conner Compton (owner) for a Special Use Permit to allow for a duplex. The use is defined as “building that contains 2 dwelling units” which is allowed in the R-3 Residential District only by an approved Special Use Permit. The property is located at 2016 Fourth Street, further identified as Tax Parcel 18-(3)-SEC 19 Lots 12&13, with 15,000 square feet. The property is designated as Moderate Density Residential in the Comprehensive Plan.
Copies of the proposed plan, applications, ordinances may be examined at the Community Development Office, 10 Robertson Street, Radford, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
