Michael Gibson Noonkester, loving husband, brother, father of four, and grandfather of four-and-a-half, passed away at the age of 51 on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023..
Mike was preceded in death by his father, David Noonkester; his mother, Sandra; and an older sister, Beth.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joan; daughters Sarah, Kelcie (Pat) Aders, and Megan (Terrell) Thomas; son William Noonkester and his girlfriend Breanna May; a loving sister, Julie Bryant; a cousin, Pat Cole; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers they all provided to Mike and their family. They would especially like to express their gratitude to Intrepid Hospice and the home healthcare nurses who cared for Michael.
A celebration of Michael’s life will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at 3 p.m. at The Prices Fork Grange, 4248 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg.
