Joseph E. Lambert Sr., 64, of New Castle, Va., was taken into custody Saturday and charged in connection with a Prices Fork Road shooting incident on Friday.
Lambert was charged with multiple felony offenses including aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, brandishing a firearm and shooting from a vehicle.
Officers from the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Blacksburg Police Department, the Christiansburg Police Department, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, the Craig County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia Department of Correction and the Virginia State Police all participated in a collaborative effort that brought the investigation to a quick conclusion.
