The local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness has scheduled upcoming classes in the New River Valley.
The Family-to-Family (F2F) education program is a free nine-week course taught by trained facilitators who have family members with a mental illness. The course focuses on knowledge and skills to help family members cope more effectively with potential challenges. Family members can include parents, children, siblings, partners, as well as close friends who support people who have mental illness.
