In 1938, Rev. J. Paul Hill held a revival in the Dowdy Town Schoolhouse on what was then Tom’s Creek Rd. That was the beginning of Mt. View Wesleyan Church.
The schoolhouse was just down the road from its present day location and, in 1946, on land given by Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Dowdy and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Echols, the current church was constructed at 1504 Meadowbrook Dr. Blacksburg, Va. Over the years, Sunday school rooms were added to the back and front of the church and the church has had several pastors.
Today, Rev. Dr. David Hurd is the pastor of the church and on June 10, 2018, the church will have a special celebration with a special service, special music and dinner on the grounds.
We invite everyone to come join our church family for this special day. Service will start at 10:30 a.m.
