BLACKSBURG – An early morning single vehicle crash in Blacksburg has led to minor injuries and a driving under the influence charge for a Blacksburg man.
According to the Blacksburg Police Department, the department responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 1000 block of Progress Street involving a single vehicle at approximately 2:30 a.m.on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
“The vehicle ran off the road, struck a utility pole and a fence,” according to information released by Lt. John A. Goad,Community Relations Lieutenant of the Blacksburg Police Department. “The vehicle then flipped over and stuck the front porch of a house. The driver, 21–year–old Tanner Carlat of Blacksburg, was transported to Lewis Gale Hospital with minor injuries.”
Once released from the hospital, Carlat was charged with driving while intoxicated and was transported to Montgomery County Jail.
