Jerry Lee McManaway moved to his eternal home on May 11, 2021.

Jerry was born in Pettry, W. Va. on Nov. 11, 1941. He lived and worked in Charleston, W.Va., for 55 years, but related to declining health he moved to Radford, living with Ruth and Bobby Stuart.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ida Romaine Dove, his father, Albert Jasper McManaway, and two brothers, Bill McManaway, and Clinton McManaway.

Survivors include a son and a daughter; three sisters, Ruth and Bobby Stuart, Ruby Vaught of Princeton, W. Va., and Rachel and Carroll Herman of Thomasville, N.C.; two brothers, Ernest and Pat McManaway of Wetumpka, Ala.., and Jess and Mary Vaught of East Bend, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece and nephew who assisted with his care, Katrina “Rita” Reed and James “Jamie” Atwood, both of Radford.

Honoring Jerry’s wishes, his cremains will be placed near the graves of his parents. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” John 14:1-4

The McManaway family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory.
