Trudy Griffith McCoy, 66, of Pearisburg, passed from the land of the dying into the land of the living on December 23. Trudy was an exceptional woman, and a devoted Christian, wife and mother. She was born in Phillips, Texas and met her husband, Larry W. McCoy, in Richmond, Va. in 1974.
She is survived by her husband, sons, Will A. McCoy and wife Ashley, J. Austin McCoy and wife Kari, Timothy W. McCoy and daughter Amy E. McCoy Lyons and husband Michael, granddaughter, Lola and grandson Jackson, and sister, Anita Kreider of Colorado.
Trudy left a legacy of blessing and encouragement. She took seriously her faith, family and friends and was an example of love and faith. She will be missed by those she touched.
A celebration of life well lived was held Dec. 29, at Riverview Baptist Church, Ripplemead, Va. with Pastor Shawn Wilburn officiating. The visitation and funeral followed at the Church. Interment will be at the Walker-Snyder Cemetery, Long Shop. She received around the clock loving care from her children and family.
