Marion Frances Mayhew Crews passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the age of 96 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Randolph Crews.
Marion, known as Rickie to her friends, is survived by one son, James R. Crews and his wife, Bernadette, of Lexington, Va.; one daughter, Kathryn C. Barnes and her husband, John, of Harrisonburg, Va; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Charlie Crews and his wife, Megan (James and Emma), John Crews and his wife Amy (Delaney, Chase, and Shane), Scott Crews and his wife Leeann; Lesley Barnes, Kent Barnes and his wife Rachel (Isaac, Eliza and Olive), and Joseph Barnes and his wife Schuylar (Vander).
Marion was born in Fincastle in 1925, attended Madison College and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy. She was an active member of First Baptist Church for many years, teaching Sunday School and the youth.
She is a current member of the Presbyterian Church of Radford. She was a charter member and past president of the Inglewood Garden Club and served on the Radford City School Board. Marion also loved a good game of tennis and played in many bridge groups with her good friend, Fran Felch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest E. and Lucie Mayhew; brothers Charles and William Mayhew; and a sister, Edith Moses.

A celebration of life service was held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 202,2 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. David Dickerson officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service.
