RADFORD – A Radford man has been arrested on multiple counts following a reported sexual assault in Radford.
Bryant Sylvester Weaver, 51, was arrested Oct. 4 in connection to a sexual assault investigation that was reported on Oct. 2, 2024.
According to the City of Radford, “the victim was reported to have been providing a cleaning service to a residence in the 200 block of Forest Avenue on the afternoon of Oct. 1 when the assault occurred. Through further investigation, the suspect was identified as Bryant Sylvester Weaver. It was determined that numerous crimes had been committed, subsequently leading to Weaver’s arrest.”
Weaver was charged with five counts of strangulation, two counts of forcible sodomy, attempted rape, abduction with intent to defile, assault and battery and distribution of a schedule I/II drug. He is currently being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
