RADFORD – Craft & Draft returns to Radford this Saturday, Oct. 21.
Nine years in the running, Craft & Draft is a one-day festival featuring handcrafted wares, live music, food trucks, craft beer, memories, and more.
Join the party from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Glencoe Field, the green space and parking lot next to Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery. There will be over 40 unique and original artists, creators, and makers from around the region joining the fun to bring their high quality, handcrafted art and wares directly to you! There will also be event-themed merchandise and signature t-shirts with original artwork by Main Squeeze Press available to purchase.
The drafts on tap will feature Mary Mary Why You Buggin’ and Steppin’ Up from Radford’s own Long Way Brewing, as well as Raspberry Wagon Road Apple Ale, Parkway Haze and Triple A Red Ale from Parkway Brewing Company. This year there will be three different cup options for purchase: glass, metal, and plastic. To help keep the event as green as possible, Craft & Draft is charging for all cups this year in the hope that they will be used again and again. These cups make great souvenirs. Attendees are also more than welcome to bring their own non-lidded 16-ounce reusable cup.
Craft & Draft will have five food trucks dishing out a great array of food, so there will be something for every appetite. Cabo Fish Taco, Mountain Grille, Thai & More, Island Wheels, and Community Pizza.
There will be live music on the stage throughout the day featuring the bands Groove Kontrol, Music Road Company, Holler Choir, and Dr. Cee and The Psychonauts.
Over the past nine years MountainTrotter Arts has given over $8,000 back to our community. This year we are proud to be donating a portion of Craft & Draft’s donations and proceeds to the Matthew S. Brunner Scholarship Foundation.
Craft & Draft has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that is family and dog friendly. It is hosted by MountainTrotter Arts, whose mission is to promote the arts and create opportunities for artists, makers, and creators of all types in our mountain community. We are supported by our partners: Ballpark Signs, New River Valley Rent-All, New River Radio Group, Glencoe Mansion, and from the generosity of our many other local sponsors.
No outside alcohol is allowed, and no smoking in the event area. The event is free to attend, but donations are encouraged and appreciated. To find out more, visit www.craftanddraftva.com.
