He was a painter who took pride in every single painting of scenes from the Christiansburg area including, the Starlite Drive-in, Cambria, train stations, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. He also enjoyed painting portraits of his family.
Jon, you are now pain free, you have both legs to run with in Heaven, and you are now reunited with your loved ones who went on before you, whom you so longed to be with again including: your mother, your grandmothers, your grandfathers, and your two uncles.
In Jon’s memory, the family asks that you choose someone in your life right now that you haven’t spoken to for whatever reason, make peace with them, or simply just do an act of service for either a stranger or someone whom you know is in need, as simple as giving them a hug.
Numerous people deserve thanks for taking care of Jon, including the Christiansburg Rescue Squad and the doctors and nurses at New River Valley Medical Center.
A celebration of Jon’s life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 6 p.m. at The Harbor of Hope Church in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, from 5 to 6 p.m.
