Musicking, June 13 2-3 p.m.
Sing! Dance! Listen! Play! The term “musicking” refers to the full process of a music experience, not just playing music. The idea is that performing, listening, composing, dancing, etc. are all part of the experience of music. So, a musicking event is one in which musical skill is not the main focal point. Rather, a musicking event is one which emphasizes the therapeutic, more innate aspects of a musical experience, and looks different for different individuals.
