Coloring Therapy for Adults, July 26
Set your worries aside and come relax with crayons, markers and coloring pencils! We have the supplies you need and a variety of adult coloring books from which to select your next coloring project. This program is for adults and inner children only! 11:30 - 1:30 p.m. at Radford Public Library
Dinner and a Book, July 26, August 2
Sponsored by RCPS and the Summer Food Program, any child can eat dinner for free at our weekly programs. The whole family welcome – each week a family-friendly selection will be read aloud while you enjoy dinner. Kids eat free, and are served first; adults can eat if supplies last, for $3 – cash or check only, made out to RCPS Cafeteria. Program will run every Wednesday through August 2. 5 p.m. at Radford Library.
Read by Design Club, July 27
All ages are welcome for this monthly club (last Thursday in July). We will do hands-on activities inspired by favorite books. In July, we will make light-up poems using copper tape and LEDs, inspired by your favorite book or character. Come with your favorite story fresh in your mind.\
Brown Bag Book Club, August 9
Brown Bag Book Club meets at the library every second Wednesday of the month to enjoy discussion about a selected book. Our August selection is: “A Crack in the Edge of the World” by Simon Winchester.
Monday Afternoon Book Club, August 14
The Radford Monday Afternoon Book Discussion Group meets in the library’s meeting room on the second Monday of each month at 4:00pm. Everyone interested in these informal discussions is welcome to attend. The August discussion will focus on The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty. Multiple copies of the books being discussed are available to be checked out at the library.
