Story hour for teens, July 4
Come for the coffee, stay for the stories! Call us in advance if you’d like details on Dave’s reading selections. Story Hour will run every Tuesday at 4:30p in May, June, and July unless otherwise noted
Dinner and a book, July 5
Sponsored by RCPS and the Summer Food Program, any child can eat dinner for free at our weekly programs. The whole family welcome – each week a family-friendly selection will be read aloud while you enjoy dinner. Kids eat free, and are served first; adults can eat if supplies last, for $3 – cash or check only, made out to RCPS Cafeteria. Program will run every Wednesday June 14 through August 2.
Stories & Science, July 7
Emily Newton, Claytor Lake’s Park Interpreter, will be doing science/nature-related activities every week. Ages 5+. Stories & Science will run every Friday at 11a in June and July, except July 14.
Monday Afternoon Book Club, July 10
The Radford Monday Afternoon Book Discussion Group meets in the library’s meeting room on the second Monday of each month at 4:00pm. Everyone interested in these informal discussions is welcome to attend. The July discussion will focus on A Man Called Ove by Frederick Backman. Multiple copies of the books being discussed are available to be checked out at the library.

Brown Bag Book Club, July 12
Brown Bag Book Club meets at the library every second Wednesday of the month to enjoy discussion about a selected book. Our July selection is: “What She Left Behind” by Ellen Marie Wiseman.

Book a time or just drop by. The technology librarian will be available to answer questions about your device, or to show off the devices and services available at the library!
