Eight years ago, I wrote my first letter to the editor on behalf of my friend and a candidate for Radford City Council.
Keith Marshall ran again four years later for a second term on council and led the ticket by a large margin.
During that term, he served two years as vice mayor. Now approaching our local elections on May 1, 2018. Keith is running for mayor of our governing body, and I have no reservations about recommending him for this position.
I can reiterate many thoughts from my first letter years ago, as I’ve know Keith and his family for a very long time.
Keith was born into and raised in a wonderful family environment. His parents, Danny and Eunice, raised Keith and his two siblings in a Christian home.
Danny once told me that he kept Keith so busy that all he had time to do was eat, go to school, practice sports, do homework and fall into bed.
As a youngster, he faithfully attended church services, and as an adult, he now serves as a deacon and Sunday school superintendent at Calvary Baptist Church.
As the mayor, he will demonstrate dependable and responsible leadership for Radford.
I have never met David Horton, the second candidate running for Mayor; however, I believe Keith’s eight years on council and the experience he has are a great plus to serve as our Mayor. He has represented our city admirably these many years and will continue to do so.
Please go to www.marshall4mayor.com and read the endorsement by Pastor Timothy Worles, which will enlighten you more.
I will be voting for Keith for many reasons and ask that you seriously consider casting your vote for him.

Radford
