Dear Editor,
NRV Indivisible, the Visibility Brigade and other concerned citizens will be standing in front of Congressman Griffith’s office in Christiansburg today imploring him to release the Epstein files. His testimony here makes no sense to us and we are asking him to use common sense and decency to support Epstein’s multiple victims—most were underage when they were sexually assaulted and trafficked.
We ask that Griffith vote to release the files in order expose the illegal trafficking and prevent the pedophiles hiding from public view. Accountability is essential—-in the video posted above, he spent most of his time speaking about concerns with J6 committee not with sex trafficking and pedophiles—what is he doing?
As constituents of Virginia’s 9th District, we urge Representative Morgan Griffith to support the bipartisan effort to release all Jeffrey Epstein files currently being withheld by federal agencies. This is not a partisan issue—it’s about basic accountability, justice for victims, and the fundamental right of Americans to know what their government knew about one of the most prolific sex trafficking operations in our nation’s history.
The facts are deeply troubling. Jeffrey Epstein sexually exploited over 250 underage girls across multiple locations for nearly three decades. Eight victims have now sued the FBI, alleging the agency received “countless tips” about Epstein’s crimes as early as 1996 but failed to act, allowing continued abuse of children. This represents a catastrophic failure of federal law enforcement’s most basic duty: protecting our most vulnerable citizens.
The House Oversight Committee has already demonstrated that transparency is both feasible and necessary, releasing over 33,000 pages of Epstein-related documents. However, this represents only a fraction of available evidence. The Justice Department has acknowledged possessing thousands of additional pages, including grand jury materials, FBI investigation records, and financial crime evidence that could expose how this trafficking network operated with apparent impunity for so long.
Rep. Griffith has consistently championed government accountability and transparency throughout his career. This principle should not waver when the stakes are highest. More than 250 victims and their families deserve answers about how federal agencies failed them. The American people deserve to know how a financial crimes operation—involving tax avoidance schemes worth billions of dollars—operated alongside a sex trafficking network without triggering appropriate federal intervention.
This issue has attracted rare bipartisan support precisely because it transcends typical political divisions. When Republican and Democratic representatives unite around transparency, it signals an opportunity for meaningful accountability that serves the public interest rather than partisan advantage.
The precedent is clear: American democracy grows stronger through transparency, not weaker. From the Pentagon Papers to Church Committee findings, history shows that exposing government failures ultimately strengthens our institutions by enabling necessary reforms and restoring public trust.
We call on Rep. Griffith to join his colleagues in demanding full release of the Epstein files. Justice delayed is justice denied—not just for the victims who suffered unimaginable trauma, but for all Americans who deserve a government that protects children rather than enabling their exploitation.
Our representative has an opportunity to stand on the right side of history by supporting accountability, transparency, and justice. We urge him to take it.
The victims are still waiting. The American people are still waiting. It’s time for Rep. Griffith to act.
This letter reflects the views of concerned constituents in Virginia’s 9th Congressional District. We encourage other citizens who share these concerns to contact Rep. Griffith’s office directly to express their support for Epstein file transparency.
Sincerely,
Alexa Casey
