Lawrence Albert Womack, 54, of Blacksburg, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1968, to Dale and Diane Perfater Womack. He was preceded in death by his dad, Dale, and his grandparents, William and Dorothy Womack and Dewey and Elizabeth Perfater.
Lawrence was self-employed, the owner of Hot Diggity Dogs food concession. He was also well known for the many auctions and events he worked in the area. He was a dedicated fan of Southern Gospel music and made many lasting friendships with groups around the country. He loved to drive the large buses for many groups and help out in any way possible.
He is survived by his mom, Diane Womack; a sister and brother-in-law, Shannon Womack Carter and John Carter; a nephew, Colson Carter; and many beloved cousins, family members, and special friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Martin and the Rev. Richard Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at McCoy Funeral Home Blacksburg.
