CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Growing up in nearby Summerfield, North Carolina, Virginia Tech center Elizabeth Kitley broke the Hokies’ career scoring record in her home state Thursday night.
The senior made a pull-up jump shot mid-way through the fourth quarter at No. 22 North Carolina to mark her 1,884th point, passing former teammate Aisha Sheppard’s mark of 1,883 points.
