Ruby Kathleen Jones (NaNa/Grandma Ruby) of Christiansburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2018. She was born January 5, 1939. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, C. W. Yopp and Katie Yopp. She retired from Hubbell Lighting Inc. in Christiansburg after 27 years.
Leaving behind to carry on her memory are her precious son, Ronnie (Beth); daughter, Bonnie; ‘like her son and daughters’, Dwight, Kaffa, and Debbie; by her sister, Niel (John); brothers, Buck (Ann), Billy (Brenda), Eugene (Durpy); her six grandchildren, Chris, Robye, Bo, Craig, Geneva, and Shelby; her 12 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A special thanks to Heather Cahill who took care of her in Chesterfield, VA and Collee Light who took care of her in Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends at Open Door Baptist Church (3995 Roanoke Road, Christiansburg) from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. The funeral service will start at noon with Pastor Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
