The bracket for the 2024 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament was announced Saturday night by the league office upon conclusion of regular-season action. Virginia Tech will be the No. 8 seed and begin its postseason run Wednesday at noon in the second round against No. 9 seed Florida State.
The tournament began Tuesday, Mar. 12 and runs through Saturday, Mar. 16 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The 71st edition of the tournament will be played for the third time in the nation’s capital. Tech’s second-round game vs. the Seminoles will be televised by ESPN or ESPN2.
VT and FSU split the season series with each side winning at home. In the most recent matchup on Feb. 13 in Blacksburg, Hunter Cattoor and Sean Pedulla combined for 39 points in an 83-75 Tech victory over the Seminoles. A physical game from start to finish, the teams combined to shoot 61 free throws with the Hokies going 28 of 32 from the line.
Top-seeded North Carolina will be awaiting the winner of Tech/Florida State in Thursday’s quarterfinals at noon on ESPN or ESPN2.
All 14 tournament games will be nationally televised on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ACC Network. In addition, all games will be available for streaming via ACCNX.
