Five Hokies will make their way to the 2023 US Open in Las Vegas, Nevada in the first competition towards representing the United States at the 2023 World Championships. Student-athletes Caleb Henson, Cooper Flynn, and TJ Stewart will take the mat alongside Hokies wrestling alum Ty Walz and assistant coach Cody Brewer from April 27-30 live on Flowrestling.
Young Hokies, Cooper Flynn, Caleb Henson, and TJ Stewart are set to take the mat in the first competition as they attempt to climb their way atop the US ladder. Joining the talented freshmen are seasoned vets and Hokies wrestling staff, Ty Walz and Cody Brewer. Flynn, Henson, Brewer and Walz are all entered in the Senior division while Stewart is the lone entrant for the Hokies in the U20 division. Brewer makes his return to competition after previously winning the US Open in 2019 and a runner-up finish at the World Team Trials. U20 action kicks off on Saturday, April 29 and will conclude on Sunday, April 30.
