The Virginia Tech Department of Athletics announced October 31 the ticketing options for the upcoming 2018 baseball season for Tech games in newly renovated English Field at Union Park. Several season ticket and package options are available for fans attending ACC baseball weekends, while there will be no charge for midweek games for the Hokies against non-conference opponents.
The Tech ticket office will begin taking applications for baseball season tickets from donors and season-ticket holders in the other three ticketed sports season ticket plans starting today, November 14. The deadline for this group to apply for baseball season tickets is Tuesday, Jan. 9.
Season tickets, which includes 15 home dates against ACC opponents Pittsburgh, NC State, Louisville, Duke and Miami, will cost $90 for an adult and $45 for a youth between the ages of 3 and 17.
For all ACC contests, the cost of an individual game ticket for adults will be $10, while a youth ticket costs $5. Virginia Tech students with a valid ID and children 2 and under are free.
An 8-Game Flex Plan also will be offered for fans wanting to watch the Hokies this season. These tickets can be used at any time – whether, for example, it’s one ticket for eight separate games, two tickets for four games, or all eight tickets for one game – and will cost $64.
Beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 10, baseball season tickets and the 8-Game Flex Plan will go on sale to the general public while individual game tickets will be available for purchase in mid-February.
For all home games, the tickets are general admission, giving fans the option to experience the ballpark from different areas.
This season, fans can choose to sit in the new chair-back seats in the new grandstand behind home plate or to continue sitting in the family-friendly terraces along the third-base line.
Other ticketing options for the 2018 baseball season were two premium-seating locations – private suites and hospitality tables. Due to high demand, premium seating is expected to be sold out in this inaugural year. If you are interested in receiving more information or being put on the baseball premium seating waitlist, please contact the Hokie Club at 540-231-6618 or email hokieclub@vt.edu.
The private suites will be part of the newly constructed press box level and are located right behind home plate. The amenities include 12 outdoor covered chair-back seats and four standing room only tickets, along with one reserved parking pass.
In-suite concierge service is available with complimentary menu items, while the furnished suite comes with a television and a refrigerator, with the opportunity to preload the suite at predetermined dates.
The suite also allows fans to access a premium hospitality area and the ability to purchase enhanced beverages during all baseball games. The cost of a suite is $12,500 and already includes the cost of season tickets and parking.
The hospitality tables at English Field at Union Park offer access to a reserved table and four chair-back seats, with an option to purchase an additional two “standing room only” tickets. The 20 tables are located in three rows along the first-base line above the visitors’ dugout and are priced at $1,000 per table, which already includes the cost of four season tickets.
The area gives patrons exclusive access to the Hokie Hospitality Pavilion, the ability to purchase enhanced beverages and includes in-seat concierge service for all ACC games.
For either option, a significant portion of the investment is tax deductible and counts toward donors’ Hokie Club Priority Points and cumulative giving to Virginia Tech Athletics.
