J. Kyle Montague, a Christiansburg entrepreneur, owned at various times a general store, a patent medicine factory, a horse and cattle liniment factory, and a tobacco factory during his long career from 1867-1923. This circa 1900 photograph shows Montague with one of his medicine wagons. (This image and many more are available from the Montgomery Museum of Art & History.)
