The Highlander Hotel opened in April but a grand opening celebration on Thursday made it official, as university and city officials came together to celebrate Radford’s newest hotel and restaurant.

“It was an honor to celebrate the grand opening of the Highlander Hotel,” said Radford Mayor David Horton. “So many possibilities and opportunities to make new memories for members of the Radford family near and far.  Thank you to all who helped make it happen and I encourage everyone to at least stop by and check it out.  Beautiful space, great food, amazing views. Another great new asset helping Radford to be the place where folks want to be.”

The hotel has a rooftop restaurant and bar, Bee & Butter.
