Lillian Marie Hendricks, 78, of Dublin, went home to be with the Lord Aug.11, 2025. She was born Oct. 11, 1946, in New River to the late Joseph Alfonso Burks, Sr. and Lettie Taylor Burks.

Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas K. Hendricks Sr.; her son, Christopher Lee Hendricks; her sister, Annette Burks; and her brother, Derick Burks.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Bruce (Melissa) Burks, Douglas K. (NaTasha) Hendricks Jr. and Andrea (Ralph) Pretlow; her sister, JoAnn Burks Allen; brothers, Joseph Alfonso Burks Jr. and Derwin (Tasha) Burks; sisters-in-law, AnnieBelle Charlton and Irene Hendricks; nine grandchildren: Dorian Hendricks, Ashley (Chad) Thorson, Tiffany Pretlow, Cameron Pretlow, Marcus (Mary) Burks, DeAngelo Hendricks, Mya Hall, Antonio Hendricks, Rowan Hendricks, and Za’Mariah Lewis; and three great-grandchildren: Presley Martin, Hayden Thorson, and Jordan Thorson.

A woman of many hats, Lillian was a talented seamstress, a gifted baker, and a loving caretaker whose hands and heart were always ready to serve. Above all, she was a devoted woman of God, whose faith guided her life and inspired all who knew her.

The family would like to thank Wythe Hospice’s whole team for their love and kindness.

The family received friends Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at the First Baptist West Dublin Church. A funeral service followed with Rev. Wallis Brown officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the First Baptist West Dublin Church.

Her love, wisdom, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

The Hendricks Family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
