Harry Thomas (Tom) McCoy, II, 74, of McCoy, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021.
He was born in Roanoke on Sept. 10, 1946, to the late Harry Thomas and Kathleen Snider McCoy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Vietnam War.
He graduated from Marshall University and was a paramedic for most of his career. Tom loved to play music in beach bands. A dream of his was to come home to McCoy, which he achieved in 2008. Great thanks go to Bobby and Robin Carner for their support and help during this difficult time.
Tom is survived by his wife of 23 years, Terry; and a sister, Sara Katherine McCoy; as well as several cousins and other relatives.
A graveside service with military honors was held on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Centennial Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Allen officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service at the church.
