Thomas Lee Hall, of Christiansburg, 90, passed away Sept. 9, 2024, in Roanoke.
Born Sept. 6, 1934, in Floyd, Thomas dedicated 28 years of his career to the Radford Arsenal and later served as a bus driver for Montgomery Schools for 15 years.
A man of deep faith, Thomas served in the ministry for many years, touching many lives with his words and actions. He was not only committed to his spiritual community but also cherished the time he spent in nature, whether it was tending to his garden or hunting.
Thomas was a loving husband to Catherine Louise Hall, a caring father to Sherman Lee Hall and Timothy Lane Hall, and father-in-law to Nancy and Dana Hall. He was a proud grandfather to Kristine Atkinson, Craig, Ezra, Sherman, Colton, Ryan Hafley, Sydney Ramirez, and Sierra Hall, and a great-grandfather to 16 great-grandchildren. His legacy of love and guidance will live on through them. His siblings, Jack Hall (Ruth Hall), Lyndall Cole, Roscoe Hall, also survive him, bearing the memory of his steadfast love and brotherhood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Maedae Hall; his son, Micheal Steve Hall; daughter-in-law, Arlene Hall; and grandson, Mitchell Hall.
The family will be assisted by McCoy’s Funeral Home, located at 150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, as they mourn his passing and celebrate his profound impact on their lives and the community. Thomas’s life was commemorated in a manner befitting his significant contributions and deep connections within the community. Receiving of family and friends was Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, with service following at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. Burial followed Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 in the Red Oak Grove Cemetery, Floyd.
