Joshua “Josh” Ennis Green, 70, of Radford, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Born June 30, 1955, he was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in New River. He worked for the Radford City School System for 37 years. During those years he interacted with every student at McHarg Elementary and made them feel loved and special. The students loved him dearly and he could still call them by name and share a story about their time at McHarg years later.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Edward and Laura Sue Green.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Diane L. Walker-Green; son, Stefan Green; brother, Alvin Dean Green; sister, Corrine Green; nieces and nephews, a host of relatives, special in-laws for 35 years Rochelle (Lawrence) Payne-McClellan and Stephanie (Robert) Poindexter; and the McHarg Family.

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits, calls, texts and all other acts of kindness. They would also like to thank our family and friends (who are really family members without blood lines) that supported us during Josh’s illness. We are thankful for the care and love of the Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center and all the physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, nursing staff and administration who cared for the entire Green Family.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 555 W. Rock Road, Radford, VA 24141. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers please contribute to Mr. Green’s Way Scholarship – Radford High School, 50 Dalton Dr., Radford, VA  24141.

The Green Family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
