Anne Bonner Gorsline, of Blacksburg, died at Heritage Hall-Blacksburg Aug. 29, 2024 at the age of 101.
Anne was born in Churchville, N.Y. on May 12, 1923 to Ethel Jane and John Franklin Bonner. After graduating from Churchville High School, she attended Penn State University. During WWII she worked at the Centre County, Pa. draft board, before graduating in 1948. In 1947 she married George William Gorsline in Blacksburg.
Anne lived in Blacksburg for 57 years often sharing her time with family, friends and many of her husband’s Virginia Tech co-workers and students. She enjoyed activities including daytime trips with friends, senior events, and jigsaw puzzles.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband George. She is survived by three children, George William Gorsline, Jr., Gary Bonner Gorsline and Suzanne Gorsline Hogan, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
