Opening reception kicks off “West End Weekend”, three-day festival centered on art, music, food, and community
RADFORD – Glencoe Mansion is announcing a new art show featuring the works of The Radford Photo Club.
The show will be on display May 12 through June 28. There will be an opening reception this Friday, May 12, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
The Radford Photo Club is made up of professional and amateur photographers from throughout the New River Valley. During their monthly meetings, the club works together to explore new techniques and subject matter and often creates assignments to work on both as a group and independently. The club also hosts guest speakers, presentations, and educational workshops relating to photography.
The new exhibit at Glencoe Mansion will feature 10 local photographers from The Radford Photo Club with 20 pieces of work on display. The opening reception will coincide with the local event “West End Weekend”, a three-day Radford festival centered on art, music, food, and community. The festival kicks off on Friday, May 12 for the opening reception of the art show. The festival continues Saturday May 13 for a craft vendor, music, and food event on the grounds of Glencoe Mansion, and it concludes on Sunday May 14 at Long Way Brewing.
