Bronté Charles Foster, 90, of Radford, passed away Mar. 14, 2024.
Born Sept. 19, 1933, Bronté was born and raised in Grundy, Va., a graduate of Radford College and a lifelong member of Unity Christian Church (formerly First Christian Church). She was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and considered a mother by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Amanda Rife Charles; husband, Robert Lee Foster, Jr.; daughter, Augusta “Gussie” Foster Kennedy; sister, Mona Charles Black; and her brother, Ransom Gale Charles.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Vanessa Abbott (Douglas), and Mona Melissa “Missie” Foster; son-in-law, George Kennedy; grandchildren, Matthew Kennedy (Holly), Sarah Kennedy, Laura Abbott and Allyn Abbott; great-grandchildren, Jack and Bishop Kennedy; and many other family members and special friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Unity Christian Church with Rev. Wendy Wilson officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
